Camp's Description
You’re invited to spend an action-packed week (or two or more!) with us this summer at American Dance Training Camp! Make new friends and have tons of fun while learning the latest jazz, funk and hip-hop dance moves from our top-notch dance faculty. Dancers of all levels – absolute beginners through experienced performers - are welcome at ADTC!
ADTC has four great locations: Stratton Mountain, VT, Squaw Valley, CA, Nantahala Village, NC and Winter Park, CO. Campers stay in beautiful, fully accredited boarding schools, cabins or hotels in picturesque mountain resort towns. Our unique locations means that ADTC campers have access to all of the traditional activities you’d want to enjoy at summer camp, as well as all of the amenities you’d expect to find at a mountain destination resort. At ADTC, we have just as much fun outside the dance studio as we do during class!
Join us for a funky & fun-filled week you’ll never forget. We hope to see you soon!

I really wanted to like this camp and have my daughter attend on an annual basis. Unfortunately, our first experience was so bad that we will never return. The ADTC website stresses 24/7 supervision and zero tolerance for bullying. That was NOT the case. My 10 year old daughter was unsupervised at night after curfew and was continually bullied by a roommate. My daughter told me that each night at 10PM their counselor left her and her four 10 year old roommates alone in a hotel room. The lack of supervision enabled an older camper to run away. My daughter was bullied verbally by a roommate all day which was reported to the counselor and was viewed by the counselor. No action was taken by the counselor or the camp. The bullying escalated to her almost being drowned by the bully because the counselor was not watching the pool as she was lounging in the hot spa. I communicated this experience to the ADTC owner and she informed me that 24/7 supervision doesn't mean "handholding." I DO NOT recommend this camp.

My 8 year old daughter attended ADTC last summer. She was roomed with a girl who used profanity, bullied and threatened my daughter. The counselors new about the problem and did not move the girl until half way through the camp. My daughter was also struck in the face by the girl during dance class. the entire expereience was a nightmare. Our first camp away and we will not be going back there. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND ADTC! there are much better programs out there not directed towards what appears to be a camp for troubled kids.
