Eagle's Nest Hante Adventures was founded in 1973. Hante is a Winnebago term meaning "I went away and learned."
Hantes consist of 8 - 12 teenagers and 2 - 4 staff members embarking on a unique trek together. Hantes can focus on one particular activity, such as backpacking or whitewater paddling, or comprise many different activities.
Our wilderness staff are highly-trained and motivated professionals, with substantial wilderness trek experience. All Hante staff members carry at least a Wilderness First Aid certification as well as expertise both in the area they visit as well as the activities offered.
Previous Hantes have included trips to: the AT, the Adirondack mountains, the rivers of Florida, the Southwest, Australia, Mexico, Ghana, Costa Rica, Iceland and many others.
If you are looking for an experience unlike any other, Hante Adventures are for you. Full Hante descriptions for this year are available on our website.
We hope to see you this summer!
