Camp's Description

Camp Bethel is a historic, ACA accredited, Christian camp located on 470 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Botetourt County.  Our setting includes forests, fields, hills, ponds, springs and streams.  One to two-week resident, adventure and trip programs for grades K-5 & 6-12.  Activities include hiking, swimming, crafts, group games, music and singing, creek-stomping, Home-in-the-Woods camp-outs, fishing, Bible study, environmental education, special evening programs and campfires.  Adventure/Trip programs include backpacking, biking, canoeing, caving, horseback riding and white-water rafting.  The camp borders the Jefferson Nat’l Forest, the Appalachian Trail, the Trans-Continental Bike Trail, and it’s just “up the hollow” from the James River.  Excellent meals, professional counselors, fun activities and modern cabins.  Program choices from June 11–August 13.  Summer 2004 theme = “Be The Change.”
