Camp's Description

We offer 8 five day adventure camps for teens 12 to 14, and 4 twelve day adventure camps for teens 15 to 18. These camps are sleep over camps. You will go on an adventure each day and then come back to our quaint camping area where each night will be spent in a cozy lean-to. Each camp session is a little different but there is always a 5 to 1 camper counselor ratio. The age range for the camps are posted on each camp description the ages of the camps run from 12 and up. You will have breakfast every morning at the camp site and then we will leave for our daily adventure. Trail lunches are provided for you each day while on our adventure. Return to the camp site each night where everyone helps prepare dinner. You do not need experience, but rather the enthusiasm and willingness to try new things and meet new people. At Vermont Adventure Camps run by Extreme Adventures of Vermont you will do more than just go on daily adventures. Our camp is a unique and challenging program that enables teens to reach new heights in individual and group development. Individuals work as in teams throughout there camp experience. Campers will complete challenging activities and focus on valuable life skills. Most of witch can be applied to everyday situations. The non-competitive, non-judgmental environment fosters feelings of synergy and creative problem solving to expand communication, trust and leadership goals. The activities are designed to build respect and confidence, while allowing campers to be actively involved in the learning process by thinking, feeling and doing. Our staff will work with your teen with the time they spend at camp and try to meet there individual needs and goals. The program operates on the philosophy of "challenge by choice" where each individual determines the level of involvement best suited to him or her while still contributing to the team process. At Vermont Adventure Camps the day time adventures are just part of the experience. After participating in a full day excursion campers will get a chance to go swimming every day if weather and time permits. We swim at a beautiful waterfall or at the Weston Recreation area. After Dinner Campers will have a choice of activities to participate in or just relax in there lean-to. There will be games of capture the flag, scavenger hunts, kick ball, wiffle ball and much more. Two nights a week (Tuesday & Thursday) there will be an optional night time excursion that is created by a counselor on duty that night. They will range from an evening hike, paddle, swim, watching a movie in our lounge, going to an outdoor mini concert at Okemo and much more.
