The Bar 717 Ranch was homesteaded by the Gates family in 1890. In 1930 Grover and Erma Gates founded Camp Trinity and began welcoming children to their pioneer ranch family.
Still owned and operated by the Gates family, Camp Trinity is one of the oldest accredited co-educational summer camps in California, setting the highest standards in camping for over 65 years. Camp Trinity welcomes children and staff from all over California, the nation, and the world. The Bar 717 Ranch welcomes boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 16 for summer sessions, and families are encouraged to enroll in our family camp in late August.
