As the summer comes to an end, I felt an obligation to all parents on Long Island to review this camp as my son finishes his 4th year. When I was doing research for a camp, I only wanted to send my son part time. I tried all the camps around Suffolk and no one would accommodate me. I made a phone call to Kenwal to let them know what I was looking for. I remember Julie (the best office manager) asking me why I wanted part time. I explained my reason and her response was.. "sure, no problem". It was that simple! This is just one of many examples of how accommodating Kenwal is. I wish I could speak, in person, to every single parent who is looking for a camp for their children, but since I can only write this review, the first thing I will say is..don't give Kenwal a second thought! My son absolutely loves it and here are just some of the reason why. They have every activity under the sun - look at their website, but more importantly they cater to what a child's interest may be. My son recently discovered drama, and he was in both of the productions that Kenwal had at the Hilton (and I say productions because that's what they were)...wonderful productions with wonderfully talented children. He also had his first year of outside camp activities. He had so much fun going bowling, seeing a show, heading to the beach and yes let's not forget Adventureland. But here is the point I'd like to get across. Kenwal equals Love. From the moment you step onto the grounds you can feel the love that is given to all of the children, not only from the wonderful family (Uncle Howie and the staff you are the best in the world), but from the counselors as well. They adore the children and the children adore them. And they all are educated, responsible men and woman who have respect for themselves and others and it shows! In a time when it's becoming more difficult to find young men and woman with values and morals, if you head to Kenwal you will see it everywhere! From the moment my son gets on the bus in the morning with his great bus driver to when I pick him up at the end of the day at the aftercare (no extra charge), I don't give a second thought to his safety and well being. Kenwal is family owned and it is obvious that Howie's Dad and Mom did a wonderful job raising their children. And I believe that Howie's values, not only rubs off on his staff, but on his children (the campers) as well. I can only say thank you Kenwal, from the bottom of my heart.

What a terrific summer we had! My wife and I have been waiting to be able to send all 3 of our boys to camp - boy was Kenwal the place for us. We sent our 3 children to Kenwal for the first time this past summer and it was well worth the wait! The grounds are amazing - there were plenty of activities to keep my boys busy. The staff simply goes above and beyond! My wife and I were happy to know they were well taken care of during the summer. Happy to know our money was well spent at an affordable cost; with ease of mind that we had made the right choice for our family.

we were so happy to be part of the "Kenwal Family" this past summer....It was a brand new experience for my four year old and he couldnt have been happier! The staff did more than I could ask for to make sure he was always smiling. I know Spencer will grow up spending his summers at Kenwal...

Kenwal Day Camp is a wonderful camp. I was referred by a few of my friends from Dix Hills. I was reluctant at first to let my little guy go(into the hands of anyone other than myself or my family).. I kept hearing great things and finally gave in. They treated my son with kid gloves... They gave him tons of TLC... He was active all day.. tired when he came home.. made a lot of new friends , besides the ones he knew already. All of the staff were attentive to our needs and over protective ways.. The directors are kind and caring. The children come "first" and that is what camp should be about.. I have referred a few of my friends as well and now my whole neighborhood goes to Kenwal. We love it there.. the activities, the property and the staff. Thank you for a wonderful summer for my son. Kenwal is the best camp around.
