The best time ever, Jul 05, 2009
reviewer: Hsmof3 from Alabama
I hate to disagree with the former review however, we took a group of 20 to the camp and we had the best time ever. The staff was so friendly and helpful in any and ever way they could be. The presence of God was so strong and powerful there was no denying that He was there. The spiritual growth our group went through in just a few days was unbelieveable. They all came home a changed person. We had children ranging in age from 9-15 not to mention the adults. We are actually planning another trip to the camp next summer. I can't wait to get back there. Maybe YOU had such a bad time because you were there for the wrong reasons!

Walkaway . . . fast as you can!, May 24, 2009
reviewer: SSSmith from flowood, ms
Was greeted by staff who appeared to be trained by FBI/CIA and Secret Service. Bunch of control freaks. Staff was rude and when I began to talk with several of them they were chastised for fraternizing with the enemy. Even would not allow one of our adults to get his cup of tea or water before supper to take his meds. Made him stand in long supper line. Kept waiting for Jim Jones to show up with the Kool-Aid. They brag on facilities and food but they are not even average at best. If not for lakefront this camp would not survive as a camp. Lakefront is unique but not worth it because other camps have good lakefronts and you do not have to deal with their Secret Police. If you take your group to this camp you run the risk of creating many issues for your church and your ministry. Even if you take your own staff. Being rude and abnoxious to adults is one thing, teenagers another, but to children??? I saw many who had their spirits crushed. Camp is to build up not tear down. I saw several kids begging to call home to ask parents to come get them. If you are considering this camp, do yourself a favor and say, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
