| Camp Cherokee is most definitely one of the best camps
around. Every time I visit it, a huge weight falls off of my
shoulders, the food although vegetarian, is good for you,
and tastes good as well. The Christian atmosphere, ensurers that you will feel at home immediately, and the air
is so fresh that you feel 5 years younger. Camp Cherokee
has all sorts of activity's for every mood, weather it be
swimming, boating, water sports, archery, horse-back
riding, or their wonderful craft house. The camp staff are
very nice being picked personally by the camp director, and
they love their jobs, which makes everything much more
enjoyable. |

| I attended this camp for 6 summers as a youth, I loved my time here as a youth. We had fun, and the lake is amazing. We had lots of activities, and were well supervised.
My favorite time was at sunset.. we had campfire and and sang songs as well as learned about Our Lord. It was a wonderful time.
The kids who were there who were not adventists, did have issueswith the vegetarian meals we were served. I don't know if the menu is still vegetarian but I loved that too. Ahh to turn back the hands of time, and sit by that beautiful lake again... |

| First let me say I am an adult and have never been a guest there. However I was there for 5 days as part of a group of volunteers readying the Camp for Summer. It is indeed beautiful...breathtaking views of the mountains and lake. Also for me the right combination of rustic and modern. We worked hard but I enjoyed every moment in the clean air and the company of the folks there.
I wish I had had the opportunity to attend a camp like this when I was a child. The folks who run this camp, at least the ones I met were a committed lot whose values and sense of responsibility showed clearly in the efforts they made getting the Camp prepared for Summer. If I had a child camp-age I wouldn't hesitate to send him there. I am , in fact going back there this Summer during Family Camp. It, in my opinion , is worth the 6 or 7 hour drive from where I live. |
