Camp Cedar Point- a wonderful and fulfilling experience Mar 15, 2007
reviewer: Katie Dreas from Southern Illinois
Camp Cedar Point is a beautiful camp, and it truly feels like home. I've been going to summer camp sessions for 8 years, plus family camp, numerous Me and My Gal weekends, several fun days and open houses, and many more. But even though I have been there many times, the overwhelming free spirit and beauty of the camp always takes over me each time I enter the pines and cabins. Camp has always been fun, with caring and understanding counselors, amazing activities, Girl Scout values, and just the whole thought of the freedom a girl can get out there. I am always proud to mention Camp Cedar Point to my curious friends, and I love to talk to my camp friends I have met over the years. Cedar Point is also a haven for lasting friendships. Every year, when Girl Scout Week rolls by, my mother and I proudly wear one of our Camp Cedar Point shirts- whether it be the 50 year anniversary yellow or the fun tye-dye! (usually, i go for the tye-dye!!!) I am going to camp this summer as well, hopefully for two sessions because I cannot pick between the Canoe Adventure or the Native American History session. Camp is all about meeting new challanges and facing new adventures. I hope to work as a counselor there someday, and I will always feel at home in the lodges of the pine forest, in a shiny canoe headed toward the Jumping Rocks, or under the star-studded sky hearing the stories of Perseus, Cignus, and Apollo. I LOVE CAMP CEDAR POINT!!!!!
