Camp Hitaga Offers Old-School Experience Jul 14, 2008

My daughter just spent her first week at Camp Hitaga. It is rustic and pretty, and offers many of the same traditions it has offered since its inception in the 1930's (so I hear, I'm not that old)! The counselors are great, many had moms and grandmas that attended the camp. A lot of clean-up and many improvements have taken place in the last year. Camp Hitaga offers an old-fashioned, traditional camping experience, and I felt good that in a world of Wii (which is also fun, I will admit) and the internet, my child had the opportunity to experience "slow time" in the woods.
