awesome camp experience Oct 05, 2009

Although I have not been a camper at iD tech, but rather a councilor for them for the past 3 years, I can still say that they are an excellently run and managed camp that is both fun and very safe. Compared to 'technology' and other day camps that I attended as a kid, iD Tech is a lot more well prepared, organized, fun and engaging with tons of activities and even an overnight camp as well. I constantly hear from parents that this is the one camp their child looks forward to attending and its obvious in the high return rate that we have of kids coming back another year. From the perspective of an employee, iD Tech only hires staff and instructors that not only know computers and their specific class they are teaching well, but also have experience with working with kids and are fun and energetic. There is a huge amount of training and preparation that is required to be an instructor beforehand, and everyone is well qualified from the first week of camp, with no CIT's or any other kind of 'on site' training. iD tech puts a lot of effort into laying out the many activities and games that accompany the technical instruction that happens at a typical computer camp and it definitely creates a much more enjoyable and fun 'camp' experience.
